The following book arts by Randi Parkhurst rethink the concept of what a book is. They stretch between books and sculpture. Randi is a paper artist and utilizes her handmade and hand embellished papers exclusively in her work (with the exception of the sand paper). Acrylic paint, inks, wax and sandwiched twine and threads are what set her papers apart from commercially available papers. She is a true craftsperson with acute attention to detail. Each piece is finished beautifully.

The Evergreen State College has acquired 2 of Randi's books for their Rare Books Room collection. The Rare Books Room is open Monday through Thursday from noon to 4pm on The Evergreen State College campus in Olympia, WA.
